Welcome to Verilucent House. By accessing or using this website, purchasing artwork, or interacting with our services, you agree to the following Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before using our site.

Throughout these Terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Verilucent House and affiliated brands, including Paula Freeman Atelier. “You” refers to the customer, visitor, or user of this website.

1. General Use

By using this site, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or are using the site under the supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

You agree not to use this website for any unlawful purpose or in any way that may harm Verilucent House, its customers, or its intellectual property.

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for any reason at any time.

2. Product Information

We make every effort to display artwork, colors, textures, and materials as accurately as possible. Due to differences in monitor settings, lighting, print production, framing materials, and handmade processes, slight variations may occur.

All artwork dimensions are approximate.

Because many pieces are produced to order, subtle differences between editions, framing materials, and finishes are considered part of the character of the work and are not defects.

3. Pricing & Availability

All prices are listed in U.S. Dollars (USD).

We reserve the right to modify pricing, discontinue products, or update collections at any time without prior notice.

Availability of original artwork is subject to prior sale.

In the event of a pricing error, we reserve the right to cancel or refuse any order placed at the incorrect price.

4. Orders

Once an order is placed, you will receive an email confirmation.

We reserve the right to refuse, cancel, or limit any order for reasons including but not limited to:

  • suspected fraud

  • inaccurate billing information

  • product availability issues

  • shipping restrictions

  • misuse of promotional codes

If your order is canceled after payment has been processed, a refund will be issued to your original payment method.

5. Custom & Made-to-Order Artwork

Many items offered through Verilucent House are made to order, including framed prints and canvas works.

Because these pieces are produced specifically for you, all made-to-order sales are considered final unless the item arrives damaged or defective.

Custom commissions, personalized artwork, and trade-specific modifications are non-refundable.

6. Shipping & Delivery

Production and shipping timelines are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Verilucent House is not responsible for delays caused by:

  • shipping carriers

  • weather events

  • customs processing

  • supplier delays

  • force majeure events

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. Additional shipping fees resulting from incorrect addresses may be charged to the customer.

Risk of loss transfers to the customer upon delivery confirmation by the carrier.

7. Damaged Items

If your item arrives damaged, you must contact us within 5 days of delivery at the contact information listed below.

Please include:

  • your order number

  • photographs of the damage

  • photographs of packaging materials

Failure to provide requested documentation may affect replacement eligibility.

We reserve the right to replace damaged items rather than issue refunds.

8. Returns & Exchanges

Due to the custom nature of our artwork, we generally do not accept returns or exchanges.

If an exception is approved, returned items must:

  • be unused

  • remain in original packaging

  • be returned in resaleable condition

Shipping costs are non-refundable.

9. Intellectual Property

All artwork, imagery, designs, text, branding, graphics, videos, and content on this website are the exclusive property of Verilucent House and/or Paula Freeman Art and are protected by copyright and intellectual property laws.

Artwork may not be copied, reproduced, distributed, modified, used commercially, or shared without written permission.

Purchase of artwork does not transfer copyright ownership.

10. Designer & Trade Use

Trade professionals purchasing through Verilucent House are responsible for ensuring product suitability, sizing, and installation requirements for their projects.

Trade discounts, if offered, are confidential and may not be publicly advertised.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Verilucent House shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of this website or purchased products.

Our total liability shall never exceed the amount paid for the applicable order.

12. Privacy

Your submission of personal information through the store is governed by our Privacy Policy.

13. Governing Law

These Terms of Service shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice.

Continued use of the website following changes constitutes acceptance of those updates.
